Video: Health Equity

 

Health equity is the concept that everyone—regardless of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or other factors—should have the same opportunity to achieve their best outcomes.

This five-minute video describes why health equity is important and how it differs from health disparity, and provides examples of avoidable, unfair, and unjust outcomes experienced by populations due to the structural and systemic factors that affect access to healthcare.
