CAI Debuts Innovative Online Module to Improve HIV Service Providers’ Data Reporting and Quality

DISQ Data Reporting

NEW YORK, NY (September 1, 2021) – CAI, as part of its Data Integration, Systems, & Quality (DISQ) initiative, has released a new interactive training that will assist Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) service providers in collecting and reporting out the most accurate data possible.

As part of their annual funding, RWHAP service providers are required to complete the RWHAP Services Report (RSR) – a client-level report that monitors the characteristics of, and services provided to, RWHAP clients nationwide. RSR data is used to inform Congress, the HIV community, and the public at large on the status of the HIV epidemic, so it is extremely important to report accurate, high-quality data. In addition, high-quality data can improve service delivery and quality of care.

This new training from CAI focuses on the RSR Upload Completeness Report – one of the most important tools available to providers to check their data quality prior to submitting it. The training will help providers optimize their use of the Upload Completeness Report and resolve data issues identified in the process.

The DISQ team said: “We are excited about this new offering for DISQ as it goes beyond a typical webinar and provides an interactive e-learning experience with customized and immediate feedback on data reporting issues that might be happening and provides tips on how to correct them.”

DISQ is a five-year initiative begun in 2020, funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), and led by CAI with partnerships with Mission Analytics Group, Abt Associates Inc., and Deborah J. Isenberg. The purpose of DISQ is to strengthen the quality RWHAP service provider data to help improve the lives of people with HIV as well as public understanding of the HIV epidemic, and the DISQ team provides national training and technical assistance to advance these goals. Last year, DISQ hosted 18 webinars with an average of 200 participants each and engaged in 1,000 one-on-one technical assistance interactions with agency staff.
